Dairy Queen Churro Dipped Cone Review
The Churro Dipped Cone is a twist on a classic Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cone. This features the classic soft-serve vanilla ice cream cone. The ice cream is then dipped in a churro-flavored coating!
The cone looked very decadent and you could see and smell sweet cinnamon sugar! Here’s a view from another angle:
On tasting it, our crew was initially very pleased with the flavors, in particular the cinnamon. One of our team said it reminded them of a popular cinnamon-flavored breakfast cereal. Another said it tasted like a churro dipped in Dairy Queen ice cream. We agreed that the Dairy Queen Churro Dipped Cone made us feel like kids again, enjoying a Dairy Queen treat in the car.
As we continued to eat more of the ice cream, one member of our panel began to have an issue with the texture. The coating is like a hard shell with soft-serve quickly melting behind it. However, once it comes in contact with the warmth of your mouth, the churro coating begins to soften rapidly and become a bit chewy. One person felt that it was very gummy-like and took away from their enjoyment of the cone to the point that they struggled to finish it. They were the only person that expressed that degree of displeasure.
Some of our tasters wished that the cinnamon-y churro flavor had been incorporated more into the ice cream itself, or maybe even the actual cone. Once the coating is gone you are essentially left with a plain vanilla ice cream cone, which is nice to eat, but not as exciting as the churro part. A bit of cinnamon sugar added to the soft-serve or the cone part would have made a huge difference.

Summary and Review
In general most of our group really liked the Dairy Queen Churro Dipped Cone, especially with its delicious cinnamon flavor. We would have preferred it to contain more cinnamon. The texture of the coating may get a little weird as everything starts to melt.
