How Good Are Sonic Pickle Fries? (Review)

Sonic recently introduced a very innovative side to fast food: pickle fries. These fried mini pickle spears are getting a lot of attention on social media, but do they live up to the hype? Keep reading to find out what we discovered about Sonic Pickle Fries!

Sonic Pickle Fries Review

It’s clear that these are inspired by the little fried pickle slices available on appetizer menus across America, so what makes them different? For starters, they are thin, fried spears rather than the typical fried slices.

What really sets these apart though is taste. The flavor of the pickle resembles an actual dill pickle, fresh and delicious. No soggy slices here! Plus, the breading is slightly crispy and seasoned with complementary flavors, like garlic.

These also come with buttermilk ranch for dipping. Although most people, including some of our reviewers, love the combination of ranch dressing with fried pickles, I think Sonic Pickle Fries are best enjoyed without the dip. Regardless of how you prefer to eat them, the good news is they are delicious and have breading that holds up well for dipping.

The only downside of these strips of fried pickle goodness is that the cooking may be a bit inconsistent. Most of our orders have been great, but we have occasionally received pickle fries that are overcooked or greasy.
