For a limited time in Summer 2021, Mountain Dew has brought its popular Baja Blast flavor back to store shelves. Along with it, comes two brand new summer flavors, Mountain Dew Baja Punch and Baja Flash.
We are Baja Blast fans here at Food Rankers, so we have been searching for the new flavors at stores ever since they came out last week. It took a while, but we finally found some Baja Punch yesterday at Kroger! The Baja Flash was sold out.

So much anticipation! This bright orange drink has been calling our names for a while now.
The label says it is tropical punch flavored, but what does Mountain Dew Baja Punch really taste like?
The exact flavor of Mountain Dew Baja Punch is very difficult to describe, but it is definitely fruity and very sweet!
This soda definitely gives off tropical vibes with most of our reviewers agreeing that it tastes like Baja Blast mixed with other fruit flavored sodas. It has a mild, pleasant fruity taste with hints of tropical fruit.
One reviewer even said the taste vaguely reminds them of homemade punch they usually have at parties. The rest of us aren’t quite sure what party punch they are referring to, but we would be down for a Baja Punch party anytime!
The caffeine that Mountain Dew is known for makes this even better with 91 mg per 20 fluid ounces. It really is a tropical punch pick-me-up 🙂
The only negative thing is the amount of sugar, which is comparable to other flavors of Mountain Dew and regular fruit-flavored sodas. Mountain Dew Baja Punch does not currently have a zero sugar version. If they did, we could easily drink Baja Punch 24/7!
Now we are even more curious what Baja Flash will taste like. We will link to it here when we find out!
