Subway The Boss Review

At Food Rankers, we decided it is time to taste more subs in the new Subway Series range as we enjoyed The Outlaw recently. The choices looked so delicious that we were unable to decide which to have, so some of our members chose to taste Subway The Boss, and the rest chose to taste the Subway Club. Now we want to tell you all about the new meatball sub from Subway – The Boss!

Subway The Boss Review

Subway The Boss is a sandwich made with meatballs tightly packed in a marinara sauce, a double layer of pepperoni, BelGioioso Fresh Mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses. All of this is served on toasted Italian Herbs and Cheese Bread. As a personal addition, we added onions and bell peppers as toppings to this. for a bit of freshness and crunch.

Subway The Boss

The Boss is packed full of meat and cheese, which made it very filling. This is a great one to have when you feel particularly hungry! There was plenty of pepperoni and meatballs in every bite. The pepperoni was layered across each slice of the bread, packing the rest of the filling in between, and enhancing the sandwich with lots of flavor. This meaty combo should be of interest to any meat lovers out there.

Fresh mozzarella cheese and parmesan give the sandwich a hefty dose of cheesiness and a nice melty stretch from the mozzarella. The cheese also pairs very well with the meats and the sauce.

The marinara sauce was pleasant, and it went well with the other flavors. The bread was delicious and had a nice crunch to it, with a toasty flavor. Even though the onions and bell peppers are additions that we made, we do recommend them. They added a wonderful freshness and crunch to the sandwich, and paired well with the other ingredients to create a supreme pizza-like sub experience.

Subway The Boss Inside

Without the fresh onions and bell peppers that we chose to include, our team agrees that The Boss Meatball Subway sandwich would be very meaty and heavy. This was also rather messy to eat, but that is not much of a complaint as this is essentially a meatball sandwich. I don’t think you can have a good meatball sandwich without making a mess with meatballs rolling out or sauce dripping.

Summary and Rating

Our team found Subway The Boss to be a delicious and filling meal that was packed with meat and cheese. This was enhanced further by us adding additional vegetables to our sub, but we still believe that even without those, this would be delicious, especially for meat lovers. It certainly was a little messy to eat, but we expect that from a good meatball sandwich, and in a weird way, we enjoyed that!

This was overall a very good sandwich for a Subway, and it exceeded our expectations. Food Rankers will definitely order this again.
