Taco Bell Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch Review
The Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch is made with a pillowy flatbread covered in melted cheese and wrapped around a Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos crunchy taco shell and filled with seasoned beef, crisp lettuce, cheddar cheese, and Spicy Ranch sauce. It is basically the perfect mash-up of a two iconic Taco Bell menu items: the Doritos Locos Taco and the Cheesy Gordita Crunch.
The Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos shell really does add a lot to the mix, including an extra cheesy, savory kick of Doritos flavor. It pars well with all that meat, cheese, and Spicy Ranch Sauce. The balance of flavors and textures in the regular Cheesy Gordita Crunch is still present, from the crispy, cool lettuce and crunchy shell to the Spicy Ranch and soft flatbread. Add lots of cheese and a little Doritos flavor and you have a Taco Bell party in your mouth.
It tastes even cheesier than the original, which pleases most of our reviewers’ palates. The only criticism is that one person felt that the addition of the Doritos shell makes this item a little too salty.
