Trolli Sour Duo Crawlers Review
The Trolli Sour Duo Crawlers come in a decent-sized 120g bag. These are worm-shaped gummies that come in 3 varieties: strawberry/guava (pink and purple), mango/pineapple (green and orange), and watermelon/citrus (red and yellow). You can see the different flavors clearly in the following real-life photo!
We were intrigued by the concept of each Trolli Sour Gummy Worm having two separate components. The top of each gummy has a chewier texture and seems sourer, while the bottom is a softer gummy texture with a different fruity flavor that leans sweeter. This contrast in texture and flavor between soft and chewy gummy sides added a unique twist for our regular gummy candy fans. Some of our team preferred the softer, sweeter half, and others preferred the chewy side.
Our panel was divided on choosing the best gummy. Half of our tasters preferred the pineapple/mango one, while the other half preferred the strawberry/guava variety. Each of them had a good flavor combination that worked well together.
We all agreed that our least favorite flavor was watermelon/citrus. There was a noticeably higher volume of those in the bag than either of the other flavors, which was a minor disappointment. The citrus and watermelon just did not seem to go together as well. The gummies are only mildly sour, although the level of sourness does vary slightly among the flavors. Most of our reviewers wish they would amp up the sour flavor a bit on these Trolli Duo Crawlers, although some people might find the mild sourness just right for their tastes
Summary and Review
The Trolli Sour Duo Crawlers provide a unique twist on regular gummies by combining different textures and flavors in the same gummy. Even though we feel one of the flavor combinations did not blend well, we are impressed with these gummies overall. We look forward to purchasing these again.
