At Food Rankers, we like to snack on Nerds candy occasionally. The latest innovation of this popular candy is Nerds Gummy Clusters. We just had to taste those, and now we want to tell you what we think about them.
Nerds Gummy Clusters Review
Nerds Gummy Clusters are made up of the traditional rainbow-colored Nerds candy forming an outer layer. Beneath the coating of Nerds is a strawberry-flavored gummy.
On appearance, Nerds Gummy Clusters appeared appetizing, and had an array of different colors on show. On putting one of these in our mouths we discovered the familiar balance of sweet and tangy flavors from the Nerds. As our team got through to the center, we discovered the sweet flavor of a strawberry gummy. This textural contrast of crunchy on the outside, and chewy on the inside was a fun balance. This was certainly an interesting combination.
One of our reviewers compared this candy to a Nerds Rope. They emphasized the difference though, that this has more gummy in it than the Rope has.
Tasting the Nerds Gummy Clusters was an interesting experience, but we felt a little underwhelmed. Our crew had hoped for something a little more dynamic and interesting than what we got. It is as though we were left feeling a little unfulfilled.
Summary and Rating
The most interesting thing that we got from this was a contrast in texture from crunchy to gummy. These are a pleasant gummy candy to eat, but none of our team was fully won over by them, and we had hoped for something a little more than we got.
