Wendy’s Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich Review
The Wendy’s Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich is made with a breaded chicken breast, topped with Applewood-smoked bacon, crispy fried onions, muenster cheese, and pickles. This also has both a special beer cheese sauce, and a smoky honey mustard sauce. All of this is served in a pretzel bun. One member of our team opted to substitute the chicken for a burger, but the rest of us had the chicken.
The smoky honey mustard sauce was delicious, it had a tasty combination of sweetness and smokiness. This sauce also complimented the chicken very well. The bacon and onions were both crispy and tasty, giving it a balance in texture. There was a good flavor and crunch from the pickles. On tasting the beer cheese sauce, we were pleased to actually taste cheese in it. This sauce also worked well with the other flavors. The pretzel bun had quite a firm texture, but was a lot like a soft pretzel. All of the ingredients combined made this very tasty and enjoyable. We all agree that this was also a very filling meal.

Wendy’s Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich was a very messy meal to eat, with a mixture of both of the sauces squirting out of the sandwich as we ate it The oozing sauces went all over the wrapper, and our hands. The only other problem our team had, was that we found it difficult to eat. This is because it had so many layers of ingredients, from the pretzel bun, which was difficult to bite through, and then the thick piece of chicken.
Summary and Rating
Our team at Food Rankers really enjoyed all of the flavors in this Wendy’s Chicken Sandwich. We especially enjoyed the mixture of the smoky honey mustard sauce with the beer cheese sauce. It is a bit messy, and a little difficult to eat, but we still love it. We would happily order this again.
